Job Description

Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Adult Medicine

Location: Hartford, CT


We are seeking an experienced APRN/PA in our Adult Medicineclinic. The APRN/PA provides comprehensive primary health care including healthpromotion and disease prevention activities for our patients. The incumbentprovides specialized care in collaboration with department physicians andrefers patients to consultants for confirmation of diagnosis and treatmentprocedures as appropriate. 

Avg Patient Schedule: 16 a day


The successful candidate will:


  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursingand have successfully completed an approved nurse practitioner program.
  • Possess valid State of Connecticut license
  • Have or be eligible to obtain DEA and statenarcotic registration
  • Have a deep knowledge of nursing theory andpractice or physician assistant theory and practice coupled with a record ofproviding high quality, comprehensive, professional clinical care to patientsaccording to established standards, protocols and practices.
  • Be able to make evidence-based clinicaldecisions and comply with department and organizational quality measures
  • Be comfortable using electronic health recordand other computer systems
  • Candidates with 1-2 years experience working inan ambulatory setting or providing urgent care are preferred.
  • Candidates that are Bilingual in Spanish arepreferred.
