A medical services network in New York City is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their outpatient health center in the Bronx.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 37.5 clinical hours per week
• Setting: Outpatient

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients referred for psychiatric assessment, including interviews, diagnoses, and treatment planning
• Provide medication management and prescribe psychotropic medications as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, LCSWs, and other care team members on patient care
• Participate in case conferences, high-risk meetings, and integrated behavioral health efforts
• Document clinical care, monitor quality of care, and support transitions of care with external providers

Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Psychiatry
• CPR/BLS certification
• Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures used in health care centers
• Ability to deliver patient care, including preventive health education
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary health center teams

Desired Skills:

• Experience with psychiatric medication management and behavioral health integration
• Familiarity with electronic clinical documentation and telephone encounters
• Experience supporting patients with substance use disorders
