A corrections facility is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located 3 hours from Anchorage, Alaska.

The credentialing position is a very short-term assignment of one week, with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday. The provider will see 8-12 adult patients per day, plus review outside medical records and labs. Required credentials include an active Alaska license, DEA registration, and a clear background check. On-site support includes one MD, an NP, nursing staff, and nurse supervisors, ensuring the provider never works alone. Nursing staff assist with patient booking, phlebotomy, interventions like nebulizer treatments, and management of low-level sick calls.
