Job Description

A health services network in Connecticut is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team in Fairfield County.

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Director of Nursing Care will:

• Administer and direct the shift related activities of the hospital
• Interpret, implement and evaluate hospital and Department of Nursing policies and procedures
• Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate all aspects of the delivery of nursing care for a specific shift or designated group of nursing units
• Assist with Environment of Care Safety Rounds and Covid-19 Vaccination and Infection Reporting.
• Assist with Monthly Infection Control Committee Meetings and Rounds.
• Assist with Planning, Coordination, and Conducting Flu Vaccination Clinics.
• Assist with Exposure Assessment and Follow-Up
• Assist with Coordination of Infection Control Operations
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• CT Registered Nurse (RN) license

Desired Skills:

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Experience managing an Infection Control program
• Psychiatric Nursing experience with the Acute Care, Dual Disorder and Eating Disorder populations
