Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) ' Labor & Delivery for a travel assignment in a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma facility. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with a wide range of conditions, from routine to complex obstetric cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to assigned Labor & Delivery patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognizing and responding to changes
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed
• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and deliveries
• Document patient responses, treatments, and changes in condition
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records

Work Environment

• High-acuity Labor & Delivery unit in a Level 1 trauma center
• Fast-paced, team-oriented setting
• Exposure to complex obstetric and neonatal cases

Requirements

• Active RN License (Oklahoma or Compact State)
• Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a Level 1 setting
• Minimum 2 years of recent travel nursing experience
• Strong clinical skills in high-risk obstetrics

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) ' Advanced Provider or Instructor

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) ' Required
• BSN or MSN ' Preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and patient care standards
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Cultural sensitivity and patient-centered approach

Compensation

Traveler (W2):

• Blended Rate: $76.00/hr
• Weekly Pay: $2,736
• Taxable: $1,404/week
• Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,332/week

Traveler (1099):

• Hourly Rate: $80.00
• Weekly Pay: $2,880
