An inpatient healthcare facility is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a Urology assignment in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This locum tenens role offers the opportunity to provide inpatient rounding, call coverage, and collaborative urologic care within a busy acute care setting.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: 24 hour coverage
• Schedule: intermittent coverage June-September
• Hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Setting: Inpatient

Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient urology call coverage and rounding across acute care facilities
• Evaluate post-operative patients, inpatient consults, and emergency department consultations
• Conduct medical histories, physical examinations, and treatment planning for new and established patients
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and imaging relevant to urologic care
• Assist with minor urologic procedures and coordinate care with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years of urology experience
• Experience working independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary peers

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Background in inpatient and acute care urology consults
• Experience with perioperative urologic patient management
