Job Description

Medrina is a large, physician-owned practice that has been a national group for over 15 years. We are currently looking to add a Physician Assistant (PA), with experience in an inpatient setting, to the team in our West Palm Beach, FL market!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • New admissions
  • Cross-coverage of existing hospitalist patients
  • Rapid responses and urgent clinical evaluations as appropriate
  • Supporting nursing staff and hospital operations during evening hours
  • Assisting with patient throughput and admission efficiency
  • Coordination with the overnight physician team

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in Florida
  • Active DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an APP in an inpatient setting (internal medicine, inpatient hospitalist)
  • Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations
  • Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a hospital setting

Schedule & Setting:

  • 7on/7off schedule
  • Swing Shift: 6pm-12am
  • Setting: Small Community Hospital

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
  • Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirements.
  • Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
