Occupational Therapist Duties - Provide Early Intervention Services (EIS) in support of the Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) program. - Document findings to develop or revise treatment programs. - Conduct training for other EIS personnel, community groups and Military Treatment Facility (MTF) personnel. - Coordinate with other personnel to ensure compliance with stated therapeutic programs and goals. - Develop approaches to programs within the specialty to service population of disabled children and their families. - Review evaluations and treatment methods to reflect patients' changing needs and priorities. - Participate in the development of community resources that improve the quality of life for families of children with special needs. - Administer treatment modalities involving therapeutic exercise as appropriate. - Establish and conduct screening procedures to identify children who may require early intervention services. - Provide early intervention services to infants, toddlers, and families through services in natural environments such as the home, child care center, or other community settings.
