Duties - Independently conduct complex 3D and 2D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the head, spine, extremities, and body, ensuring precise image acquisition for diagnostic purposes. - Instructs patients by explaining procedures methods, safety precautions, and risks, position them accurately, start intravenous lines (IV) as needed, and produce required images for examinations. - Establishes and oversees the maintenance of a quality control program in the MRI Section and participates in the in-service educational program - Independently performs complex computerized axial tomographic scanning of heads or bodies. - Responsible for all major and minor equipment held in the MRI Section - Participates with the decision, when invited, on major equipment purchasing to maintain the most advanced standards to provide proper patient care. - Identity's image artifacts to enhance quality, collaborate with radiologists to tailor imaging protocols for both standard and complex cases, and promptly notify physicians of significant findings during exams.
