Seeking a Locum Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

--Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

--Coverage needed:

- January 2026- July 2026

--Day 0630-1900 / Night 1830-0700

--Coverage needed includes 84 hours every 2 weeks (12-hour shifts)

--Rotating days, nights, and weekends

--Established team with high quality 5 academic intensivists and 6 advanced practice providers

--Ability to perform procedures including:

- Arterial Lines

- Central venous Lines/Dialysis Catheter

- Chest Tube Insertion

- Thoracentesis

- Intra ' Aortic Balloon Pump removal

- Transvenous pacer/Swan Ganz placement

- Bronchoscopy

- Pacing wire removal

- Chest tube removal

- Feeding tube placement

--Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnoses.

--Develop treatment plans and order diagnostic tests.

--Prescribe medications and therapies in line with scope of practice

--Collaborate with healthcare teams.

--Provide patient education and follow-up care

--Required: NC license, DEA, BLS, ACLS, minimum 2 years of ICU experience

--Preferred: Cardiovascular ICU experience
