A state-operated psychiatric hospital is seeking a Psychologist for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located 250 miles southeast of Atlanta, Georgia.

This position is on a forensic unit with a caseload of 20 to 30 individuals, focusing 60% on assessments and 40% on patient care. Responsibilities include 1 to 2 evaluations per week, primarily competency to stand trial and violence risk assessments, with training available for those without prior experience. Daily duties involve meeting with the treatment team, participating in planning, rounding on patients 1 to 2 times per day, occasional individual work, and completing evaluations as needed.
