Surgical Tech - First Assist - $5K Sign-On

Seaford, Delaware

As defined by the American College of Surgeons, the Surgical First Assistant is a trained individual who is able to participate and actively assist the surgeon in completing the operation safely and expeditiously.  The Surgical First Assist provides aid in exposure, hemostasis , and  other technical functions that will help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient.  The role of the Surgical First Assist provides immediate support to the surgeon and should be knowledgeable, well rounded, helpful and has a supportive team attitude.

Compensation and Benefits

- Hourly rate range: $27.94 - $43.31 Per Hour

- Up to $3,000 in relocation assistance

- $5,000 sign- on bonus

Schedule

- 40 hours/week

- Shift type: variable

Requirements

- Graduate of a certified surgical tech program conducted by a community college, vocation school, or hospital school, or relevant hospital -based training. Other experience and education may be considered

- Minimum 2 years Surgical Tech experience

- CPR required

- Current certification as a Certified First Assist by one of the Certifying bodies: American Board of surgical Assistants, National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, national Surgical Assisting Association
