As a Clinical Psychologist you will: - Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who evidence the full range of disorders described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. - Conduct psychological assessment of patients with a wide variety of known or suspected psychological disorders that affect intellectual, cognitive, behavioral or emotional functioning. - Provide staffing for clinical cases, including in emergency consultation and crisis scenarios. - Function as an authoritative source of information regarding the use, selection, and interpretation of psychological tests, and oversee, administer, and interpret appropriate psychological tests. - Conduct individual and group short-term therapy sessions, including psychoeducational sessions, using expert knowledge and therapeutic techniques. - Review and approve the appropriate modality of each patient; develop treatment plans; evaluate overall effectiveness of therapeutic efforts using both objective and subjective measures, instituting changes as needed. - Provide expert oversight of training in diagnosis and treatment to certified and intern counselors in the Department.
