A Detroit Lakes, Minnesota health system is adding a full-timePsychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to their hospital-employed team.

Opportunity Highlights

• Joining a team of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and dedicated support staff
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm
• Outpatient Practice (95%); inpatient/ED consults (5%)
• Adult population, pediatric training would be of benefit

Requirements

• State licensure as either an Adult or Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited institution that followed a specialty track in Mental Health and is certified by a professional nursing organization to exercise advanced nursing competencies, including (a) mental health promotion and (b) the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic psychiatric conditions.

Summer is the busy time in lakes country with fishing, water sports, golfing on 14 challenging area courses, and some of the largest events in the world. The fall and winter bring ice fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing. The community has a vibrant downtown district, a short drive to the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area. Detroit Lakes has a population of approximately 8,600 in the off-season and 30,000 in the summer.
