Job Description

A New York City-based healthcare network is looking to ad a new, licensed Dermatologist to join one of their practices in Queens.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: 4-day work week
  • Hours: 10 hour shifts
  • Patient Volume: 20 to 30 per day

Responsibilities:

The Dermatologist will:

  • Identify various dermatological conditions through clinical examination, patient history, and sometimes diagnostic tests like skin biopsies or patch testing
  • Provide both medical and procedural treatments for various skin issues
  • Perform regular skin cancer screenings, educate patients about risk factors, and offer surgical interventions, when necessary
  • Manage chronic skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema, and rosacea, providing ongoing care and treatment plans to help patients manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life
  • Diagnose and treat various infectious skin diseases, including bacterial, viral, and fungal infections, as well as sexually transmitted infections affecting the skin
  • Help patients manage allergic reactions and sensitivities that manifest on the skin, often involving conditions like contact dermatitis and urticaria (hives)
  • Provide care to children with various skin conditions, including diaper rash, eczema, birthmarks, and genetic skin disorders
  • Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, preventive measures, and overall skin health
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
  • Board Eligible / Certified in Dermatology
