Fort Wayne, Indiana, Hospitalist Opportunity

    • This is a permanent position
    • Ideal candidates will be internal medicine (IM) trained hospitalists and board certified or board eligible
    • 17-20 patient encounters per day (admissions & rounding)
    • Average census of 16
    • 131 hospital beds
    • 12 hour shifts
    • 1 rounding day physician (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.) plus one APC
    • 7 on / 7 off block schedule
    • Nights covered by APC. Daytime hospitalist takes night telephone call
    • ICU beds covered by intensivists M-F; Hospitalist team covers nights and weekends
    • Rapids & codes required
    • Vent management required
    • Cerner EMR
    • Family Medicine training accepted
