HEADLINE:   Baltimore, MD: Experienced pulmonologist is needed for a faculty position at a large teaching hospital. They have 3 pulmonologists and 4 pulmonary/critical care physicians. Academic background and Sleep Medicine are a plus but not required.  Hospital has 24/7 in-house Intensivist coverage for the ICU.  Employed by this state-of-the art teaching hospital.  $ They are offering very competitive salary, work RVU productivity, full benefits, etc.   Excellent earning potential.

LOCATION:  Baltimore, Maryland 

  • The new pulmonologist will be working at a large teaching hospital   located in Baltimore.   Please see below regarding additional information about the city of Baltimore.


  • Located in Baltimore, Maryland, an experienced pulmonologist is needed for a faculty position at a very well-regarded large teaching hospital.   It is owned and part of a regional healthcare system.

  • They have a very large medical staff at this teaching hospital.  Most of their specialists have academic affiliation at a prestigious Medical School!

  • This well-established  Pulmonology group currently has three pulmonologists and four pulononary/critical care physicians.

  • The new pulmonologist will be hospital-based.

  • This excellent opportunity is due to increased volume and area growth.

  • There is both inpatient and outpatient pulmonology.  

  • Academic background and Sleep Medicine are a plus but are not required.

  • This Hospital has in-house Intensivist coverage for the ICU. 

  • They have a 26 bed closed ICU.

  • They also have an Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) program.

  • Resident teaching opportunities are available. 

  • Their Division of Pulmonary Medicine provides comprehensive care to patients with respiratory system disorders. The pulmonary function laboratory offers patients full pulmonary function testing as well as exercise and bronchial provocation testing. In addition, specialists at the lab perform sputum induction according to guidelines mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

  • Their Sleep Center, directed by Board Certified sleep specialists, has four state-of–the-art sleep study rooms that are operated seven nights a week for full polysomnography and CPAP titrations. Daytime sleep studies are conducted Monday through Friday. Sleep consultations are available on site.  

  • Their state-of-the-art Sleep Center facilities offer total solutions for sleep resolution. The sleep specialists monitor and evaluate sleep patterns to accurately diagnose and treat the source of sleep disturbance.  

  • Sleep Center Services include

    • Onsite nighttime and daytime sleep studies performed seven days a week
    • Comfortable, hotel-like, private rooms
    • Three convenient locations throughout central Maryland.


  • All the physicians at this teaching hospital, including the pulmonologists in this department/group, are all employed by this state-of-the art teaching hospital.
