Medical Director, Community Health Care- Honolulu, Hawaii
Seeking an experienced medical director for an independent, 501 (c) (3) non-profit, Health Center that plays a crucial role in the community as a provider of health and social services to patients who typically face significant barriers when accessing health care
The Medical Director is responsible for overall direction and oversight of all medical services provided by the Health Center and for championing a service-oriented culture focused on: provider and employee engagement, quality, patient safety, fiscal responsibility, patient engagement, and overall patient experience. The Medical Director works in collaboration with other Clinical leadership to implement, coordinate, and improve clinical management initiatives.
The Medical Director provides direct patient care as well as makes clinical-related administrative decisions on behalf of the Health Center. This position is up to 40% clinical and 60% administration
The incumbent is a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) where each team member plays an integral role in providing patient centered health care.
Requirements: Board Certified Family/Internal Medicine Physician, Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy. Five (5) years of practice experience in a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC, or similar Organization, in an urban area with a diverse population. Three (3) years of senior management experience in a health care setting.
