Whidbey Island, Washington - Seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine physician. Full-time position with desirable 4 10-hour days schedule. Outpatient care only. Competitive compensation with sign-on, relocation and loan repayment bonuses; comprehensive benefits. Call is 1:8, telephone only, very light. Responsibilities will include rounding on patients in adjacent hospital when they are admitted. Ideal candidate will enjoy rural life, with easy access to urban culture in Seattle. Join a well-established group of 5 physicians in the Whidbey Island community of Freeland, where you'll enjoy a collegial environement with specialist support on site, including: GI, cardio, radiology, oncology, obstetrics, and general surgery. WhidbeyHealth Medical Center is a fully licensed and certified Critical Access Hospital. An exceptional nursing team and more than 70 physicians support a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services, including an award-winning Cancer Care program, an accredited Diabetes education program and a trauma level III Emergency department which sees more than 25,000 patients per year.

Whidbey Island forms the northern boundary of Puget Sound and is home to nearly 70,000 residents. The fourth largest island in the contiguous United States, Whidbey is approximately 55 miles long and between 1.5 and 12 miles wide. Located between the Olympic Peninsula and the mainland of western Washington north of the Metro Seattle corridor, Whidbey Island is sometimes referred to as "Puget Sounds Largest Artists Colony." In addition to being a haven for lovers of the fine arts, Whidbey is also known for magnificent vistas and the serene tranquility of a Puget Sound island.

The WhidbeyHealth system, which includes WhidbeyHealth Medical Center, three EMS stations and nine outpatient locations, employs more than 700 staff members. All of the WhidbeyHealth facilities are operated by the Whidbey Island Public Hospital District and are supported by the WhidbeyHealth Foundation, established in 1981 as Whidbey General Hospital Foundation, a qualified non-profit corporation, and rechristened in 2016 as all services and locations were unified under the WhidbeyHealth name.
