Ocala Regional Medical Center is seeking a board certified / board eligible endovascular neurosurgeon to assist them in developing a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The closest Center is roughly 40 minutes away in Gainesville.
Ocala Regional Medical Center is currently certified as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. They have a neurosciences team that incorporates neurosurgeons, neurologists, nurses, therapists, dietitians and case managers to diagnose and treat the needs of patients.
The incoming physician would join the existing and growing 6-man neurosurgery practice with 3 neurosurgeons and 3 physician assistants. They will be employed and receive a competitive compensation package including benefits and malpractice.
Ocala Regional Medical Center is part of Ocala Health System, a 2-facility health system with 360 beds. Facilities have been consistently growing over the course of the last 5 years, having invested $136 M in capital improvements through 2016. Facility has another $110 M in construction underway to include expansion of ER, OR, and IP Bed Capacity at both facilities. Ocala Health is a high functioning Level II Trauma Center, and is the only trauma center in Marion, Hernando and Citrus counties. The facility also leads a growing GME program in partnership with UCF.
