Adolescent Medicine Specialist Needed at Children’s Hospital of Michigan
Children’s Hospital of Michigan is actively seeking an Adolescent Medicine specialist for a full-time opportunity in Detroit, MI. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established academic group as they continue to expand to better serve the primary care needs of the children and adolescents living in the Metro Detroit area.
This position includes 8 clinics per week (each clinic is a 4 hour block) and oversight of residents during outpatient clinical activities. Inpatient consult service is every 3 weeks for 3 days per week. Beeper call is every three week.
Academic responsibilities include daily precepting of 4th year medical students and 2nd year pediatric residents. Adolescent Medicine didactics for the Adolescent Medicine rotation includes 4 lectures per block (each block is 4 weeks long).
The Division of Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Michigan specializes in the care of patients from ages 11 through 21. The division provides comprehensive adolescent health care services to all male and female adolescents, including complete school, camp, sports and routine physical examinations and immunizations. Other services include reproductive health care, eating disorders, behavioral health management. We also provide management of chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, seizure disorders or gastrointestinal diseases in close cooperation with other specialists.
Candidates must be board certified in Pediatrics with special qualification in Adolescent Medicine. Must be eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan.
