As a Supervisory Clinical/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse you will: - Performs a variety of supervisory, administrative, and clinical duties as the Supervisor (Head Nurse) of the NICU - Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work - Develops staff in effective interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills - Evaluates nursing interventions based on patient's response and revises nursing care plan accordingly. - Develop nursing care assignments to various skill levels of professional and nonprofessional personnel. - Supervise nursing staff, managed shift assignments, and conducted performance evaluations. - Lead training programs, ensuring cross-training and neonatal education for staff. - Contribute to policy development and revisions, focusing on quality and infection control. - Complete reports and maintain records to ensure compliance and efficient neonatal care. - Monitors and oversees staff performance to assure work is accomplished in a timely manner - Reviews and assists in the revision of nursing care plans as needed. - Provide advanced NICU care, administering treatments and managing neonatal equipment.
