Duties The primary responsibility of this position to provide psychiatric service to the behavioral health clinic, substance use disorder clinic and primary care clinic (as needed). This is full time position working Monday through Friday from 0700-1600. This position does not have evening or weekend call. - Provides treatment services in any capacity including, inpatient services, consultation liaison services, partial hospitalization, day programs, emergency psychiatric services, tele-psychiatric services and routine and intensive outpatient services. - Examine and conduct thorough studies of presenting patients and evaluate laboratory and clinical findings, prescribing appropriate treatment or referring patient to appropriate specialty clinics. - Provide biopsychosocial evaluations using integration of laboratory, radiological and clinical findings, making fitness and suitability determinations for duty. - Provide psychiatric care for walk-in patients presenting with acute illnesses of minor and major proportions. - Participate in continuing education programs to update and maintain skills. Performs other duties as assigned.
