A hospital in Connecticut is actively seeking a patient-oriented and compassionate Nocturnist to join their growing staff. In this role, the Nocturnist will provide supervision, consultation, and teaching to residents in the department of medicine and family practice.

Responsibilities

The Nocturnist will:

• Provide medical consultation as necessary for surgery and OB/GYN residents
• Provide emergency inpatient coverage of medical patients in the non-teaching medical service
• Work with two other Nocturnists, averaging five admissions per night by each physician 
• Complete other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• M.D. / D.O. license
• Board eligible or board certified 
• Prior Family Practice and sufficient inpatient experience 
• Demonstrated critical care knowledge
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills 

Desired skills

• Certified in Internal Medicine
