A health services organization in New York is currently seeking a licensed/board certified professional to join their staff as their new Addiction Medical Director. In the role, the Addiction Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and clinical operations of two facilities.
The Addiction Medical Director position is accompanied with a generous compensation and benefits. Duties include:
Acting as liaison in coordination of activities and problem solving among the administrative and clinical leaders
Overseeing the administrative and patient care activities of the entire Medical staff.
Overseeing Medical Staff compliance with OASAS and other governmental agencies rules and regulations
Development and publishing of the monthly medical schedule, approval and denial of said staff request for time off
Weekly payroll process of the medical staff
Siting on the Utilization Review/Quality Improvement Committee.
Assisting in coordination of activities of the administration, nursing and other patient care services.
Obtaining medical history & performing examinations; completing applicants’ pre-employment requirements; securing blood and urine for analysis & placing a PPD; and, conducting annual PPD as well as specimen collection
Offering and administering recommended vaccines and other preventive health initiatives
Participates in quality improvement addressing medical records documentation, quality reviews and utilization review
Identifying and establishing new affiliations with hospitals, educational institutions and other community providers in need of services
American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) certification
