San Diego, California – Physician Reviewer Position

  • Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible internal medicine physician
  • Work for a large health plan
  • Must have at least five years post training experience
  • Seeking candidates with knowledge of managed care and the process for prior authorization review
  • Work Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
  • Weekend work TBD
  • Must have experience with at least three of the following: working at a healthplan, committee membership for quality of care/peer review leadership experience, peer to peer calls, appeals and/or grievances, utilization reviews for care, writing medical or clinical policies
  • Ideal candidate who could potentially transition to a CMO/VP in the next 3-5 years
