Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatrist / Unit Director - Millwood Hospital

Millwood Hospital, located in Arlington, Texas, is a 134-bed mental health facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Our caring, multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971.

DETAILS:

Inpatient Geriatric/older adult caseload;

16-bed dedicated geriatric unit;

Independent contractor arrangement highly preferred;

Minimal weekend/on-call requirements;

Staff position or Unit Directorship available;

Monthly Directorship stipend included;

Monday-Friday, days only;

Ability to work with APP/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner if desired;

Flexible split coverage optional for weekend rounding;

Well-established, dynamic, growth oriented team;

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

1. MD/DO degree from an accredited program required;

2. BC/BE General Psychiatry (required);

3. BC/BE Geriatric Psychiatry (optional);

4. Current Texas Physician/Medical license (MD or DO only), in good standing;

5. Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.
