This clinic is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center servicing communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, UIster, Sullivan Columbia and Westchester County, New York. Hudson River HealthCare (?HRHCare?) is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County.

Collaboration and supervision of nurse practitioners and physician?s assistants; participation in planning and developing health care services in his/her specialties, treatment of conditions and illnesses within the scope of the physician?s specialty, referral and follow-up of patients when indicated, participation in after-hours coverage to insure 24-hour availability of care for Center patients. Performs job duties in compliance with systems and job specific standards.

  • Interviews, diagnoses and evaluates patients referred for psychiatric assessment
  • Oversees treatment by all mental health clinical
  • Participate as a team member in conferences concerned with diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Writes reports and documentation as required
  • Consults with other mental health and medical provider staff regarding treatment patients
  • Prescribes psychotropic medication as needed and monitors it effectiveness
  • Completes monthly program reports
  • Provides in-service training to professional and paraprofessional staff
  • Reviews case records to monitor quality of care
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the principals of growth and development over the life span
  • Must be able to identify and categorize each patient?s age-specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent, or geriatric patients
  • Must be familiar with the process of addiction
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, sorry no new graduates are accepted for this position
  • Spanish as a 1st or 2nd language preferred, but not required.
