- - * Provide direct surgical and indirect perioperative care as directed by the circulating nurse for specific procedures in a timely manner according to established policies and specifications of the attending surgeon. - * Assist the surgeon in a wide variety of complex surgical procedures that may include General, Neurological, Orthopedic, Gynecologic, Urologic, ENT, Oral/Maxofacial and Plastics and Vascular surgery. - * Provide assistance in exposure, hemostasis, and other functions that will help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. - * Clean, process and sterilize surgical instruments. - * Assist in draping the patient for surgery based on established and written protocols. - * Maintain the consumable supply readiness of the surgical suite. - * Conducts required patient identification verification - * Performs other duties as assigned.
