An urgent care clinic located in northeast Virginia is seeking locum tenens coverage May and June of 2008 with the possibility of extension. The clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. They would ideally like the physician to work 4 days per week and weekends would be alternated. The urgent care clinic is located in a multi-specialty clinic and you will be one of 2 physicians working. When working you will be the solo practitioner. The support staff includes 1 medical assistant, 1 x-ray tech and 1 secretary. The scope of work will include general urgent care with sutures, splints and minor lacerations. The nearest hospital is 2 miles from the office.
