Riverside Health System, (RHS) one of the nations strongest healthcare providers, is launching several new urgent care sites in the scenic, coastal region of southeastern Virginia. The flagship facility located in Newport News, Virginia is Riverside Regional Medical Center (RRMC), and it is a newly renovated, state-of-the-art, 576-bed community hospital. RRMC supports three residency programs and draws from a population of approximately 600,000. The two others are Riverside Tappahannock Hospital, (RTH) located in Tappahannock, Virginia and Riverside Walter Reed Hospital (RWRH), located in Gloucester, Virginia, both of which are community hospitals each under 100 beds.
We are currently seeking candidates for our urgent care sites in Newport News and Gloucester. Our Newport News opportunity would be staffed in the evenings and weekends and our Gloucester opportunity will be a traditional 6 day a week setting. You would be joining Riverside Medical Group which currently employees over 300 physicians across all specialties. There is no call and it will be a 40 hour work week.

Furthermore, the area provides a multitude of outstanding educational options in both private and public settings. The public sector includes Advanced Placement courses at all area high schools, three International Baccalaureate programs, a magnet school for science and technology, and a high school for the arts.
Our Gloucester opportunity is located on Virginias Middle-Peninsula is expected to continue its rapid growth (population 92,000 by 2010) and diversification pattern which will provide for exceptional opportunities for this practice. This area blends a unique access to both the beauty of nature and the cultural amenities generally associated with more urban areas. Fish, sail, or water ski from your backyard pier in the afternoon and then choose from an assortment of sophisticated restaurants as close as Williamsburg, Richmond or Norfolk that evening.
