We have over 50 employed physicians in our corporate family, ranging from primary care doctors to thoracic surgeon and general surgeons! We are a physician friendly employer! We have endocrine, rheumatology, hem/onc, occ. med., general and thoracic surgeons, OB-GYN, adult IM, pedi, anesthesia, intensivists, hospitalists, etc. I would like to speak with you about an opening we have for a rheumatologist. We have two rheumatologists, one is leaving the practice. Since the addition of the 2nd rheumatologist last year, we have opened an office in Westfield, MA and also work out of an office in Holyoke, MA. We cover only our hospital, however; call (which is minimal!) is shared with the other rheumatologist. 200 beds; we have between 120 and 150 beds occupied on any given day. located in a college area, with 15 colleges located within a 25 minute distance from the Medical Center. two of the seven sisters in our back yard--Smith and Mt. Holyoke. We also have U Mass, Amherst College, Hampshire College, Springfield College, Western New England College, American International College, Elms College, Bay Path College, Westfield State College, plus several technical and community colleges. The major "industry" for our area is clearly education. That brings with it a culture that is typical of college communities! Great restaurants, lots to do for people of all ages, etc. great area--we get to complain about the weather (too cold or too hot!) and enjoy all four seasons. located at the junction of major north/south and east/west highway systems, so we can get to cities, country, and shore with ease.
