Olympia, Washington -- Providence St. Peter Hospital and a private group of five pulmonologists are partnering to bring a Pulmonary Critical Care Intensivist to join our team in Olympia, the scenic, family-friendly capital of Washington state. Skills in all general ICU procedures such as central and Swan Ganz lines are required as are fiber-optic bronchoscopy procedures. Sleep medicine interest and boards would be an advantage. The practice is heavy on critical care and consultative medicine. Several of the current physicians are boarded in sleep medicine; group is staffing a four-bed sleep lab that is expanding to six beds. The practice is very busy and anticipates adding a new physician each year for two years.

Providence St. Peter Hospital is a 390-bed regional referral center serving a population of more than 500,000. We offer comprehensive medical, surgical and behavioral health services on our lovely 173-acre campus in downtown Olympia. With award-winning services, including top designations for heart, stroke and other care, Providence St. Peter is a regional leader on numerous fronts. We operate a respected family practice residency program and have a Level III trauma center, a Joint Commission certified stroke program, high-definition MRI, high-speed CT and much more.

Olympia is located on the southern tip of scenic Puget Sound, which offers an abundance of saltwater activities from beachcombing to salmon fishing and sailing. The magnificent Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges also provide amazing scenery and recreation opportunities. Olympia has a population of 43,000, small enough to see your neighbors around town, big enough to offer an abundance of culture and entertainment. And, for those really big city amenities, both Seattle and Portland, Oregon, are about 90 minutes away by car.

Providence St. Peter is part of Providence Health & Services, a not-for-profit network of hospitals, clinics and physician partners in Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Providence has a proud 150-year history in the West, and we continue to grow with the communities we serve. With more than 300 physician opportunities in virtually all specialties, we offer physicians diverse lifestyle choices, flexible work arrangements and robust practice support.
