A busy group of two pulmonologists are looking for a third physician to join their practice.
This group has both an inpatient and outpatient practice. The physicians work at one of the hospitals in the St. David's HealthCare partnership. This facility is South Austin Hospital. It is in a growing area of the community and is well-known for its high quality of care, particularly in cardiac services.
South Austin Hospital is a 200 bed hospital, offering comprehensive care to the community of South Austin, as well as several areas to the south, east and west. It is situated in an area which is experiencing tremendous population growth. A $54 million expansion project was recently completed at SAH. Beds were added to the Intensive Care unit, cardiovascular recovery units, and the medical-surgical floors.
Of particular note is the addition of beds to the Emergency Department, accounting for an 86% increase in treatment capacity. Finally, new Cardiac Catheterization labs, a new Electro-Physiology lab and additional cardiovascular operating rooms were constructed. The total project includes over 100,000 new square feet and 26,160 square feet of renovations.
