Position Description
- We will recruit a board certified pulmonologist
- Ideally candidate will be certified in critical care and sleep medicine
- Adult practice
- Six-bed sleep lab (Pensacola Sleep Disorder Center)
- Will cover office in Pace, Florida and two hospitals (one of the hospitals in Pensacola) during the week and cover 3 hospitals every other weekend
- Will join our current Physician, an independent practitioner
o Currently sees 100% insured patients in office
o Physician currently covers three facilities in addition to seeing his office patients:
- Medical Center
- Select Long Term Acute Care
- West Florida Hospital
- Plan to join the Hospital
o Would like to expand coverage to the Hospital, but given current practice volume, will not be able to consider doing so till a partner joins the practice
o Our Physician is currently serving as Director of the sleep lab
o Opened a pulmonary hypertension clinic (only one between Jacksonville and Mobile) and is part of Pulmonary Hypertension Network
- Very strong referral base - anticipate new physician will have a full practice within 18 months
- Call:
o Likely to be 1:2 weekends (currently 1:2 weekends, shared with a physician at West Florida Hospital)
o Call is not intense. Our current Physician recalls having to go into the hospital 1-2 times in the past six years but does receive calls after hours
- Admit own patients to the hospital
Candidate Description
- Board certified pulmonologist
- Certification in critical care and sleep medicine preferred
- US residency/fellowship training required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - must have a track record of working collaboratively to achieve results
- Have a high level of integrity, a strong work ethic and be a team player
- Candidates with allopathic and osteopathic training will be considered

Compensation
- Salary
o Income guarantee (will quote around $300,000)
o Earning potential - $450,000 after 2 - 3 years
- Partnership after one year
o Minimal buy-in to cover 50% of billing system & EMR
