WILSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Wilson Memorial Hospital is seeking an additional orthopedic surgeon to affiliate with a two-person orthopedic group in Sidney, Ohio. The orthopedic market has grown such that an additional surgeon is needed to fill both current and future demands. The successful candidate should be a general orthopedic surgeon with an interest in sports medicine.
The successful candidate would be employed through Wilson Care, Inc. (WCI), a professional corporation of Wilson Memorial Hospital established in 1993. WCI currently employs 16 physicians, three nurse practitioners, and a total of 79 employees. WCI currently has nine physician office locations and one separate corporate/billing office location. WCI is supported by a full-time executive director, a part-time medical director, and utilizes a state-of-the-art billing/scheduling system throughout the practices. In addition, an electronic medical records system will be implemented in the fall of 2007. Although the major focus of Wilson Care in the past has been in primary care, surgical specialists are currently being recruited to the group.
A formal relationship has been developed between WCI and Orthopedic Associates of Shelby County, Inc. (OASC) such that the successful candidate will share office space, staff, call, etc., in OASC's office; however, will maintain an independent practice through WCI. OASCs recently remodeled and expanded office offers all the amenities including a physical therapy service. Because of the association with OASC, there will be a 1 in 3 call for weekdays with a 1 in 5 call on weekends as a result of a present call arrangement with another group.
Wilson Memorial Hospital is the inpatient acute care hospital that is utilized by OASC for both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic procedures. Wilson is a progressive community not-for-profit hospital located in Sidney, Ohio, midway between Toledo and Cincinnati off of I-75. The Sidney/Shelby County area offers a family-oriented community setting with easy access to the metropolitan areas of Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus.

The compensation for this position includes a guaranteed base salary of $400,000-450,000 depending on experience, plus an incentive arrangement. Additional revenue can also be generated in conjunction with the physical therapy services. A full benefits package including a pension plan and relocation assistance is also provided.
