KRC.0108.0704.07 Orthopedic Surgeon position available for a group practice comprised of 6 board certified orthopedic surgeons. This position will include seeing patients from both the hospital and a local practice. The salary is $250,000-300,000, plus benefits. Potential partnership option and teaching opportunity available if interested.

The hospital is renowned for the following services: Bariatric surgery, Sleep Lab, Women's Health Center with LDRP's and educational facilities, Acute care - medical and surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Surgery Center, Cardiopulmonary Center (Cardiac Rehab, Stress Tests, Smoking Cessation, CPR, EKGs, EEGs, Certification classes, and more), Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging (CT, Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound, X-Ray Units, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Dedicated and accredited Mammography Unit, Bone Densitometer), Rehabilitation Center (outpatient physical and occupational therapy and fitness programs), 24-hour ER coverage by family practice physicians, Home Health (skilled nursing, PT, OT, speech, aide, homemaker services), Speech Pathology and Audiology, Part-time clinics (Audiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Neurology, Oncology, Opthalmalogy, Oral Surgery, Orthotics, Pediatric Cardiology, Podiatry, Urology, VA Clinic), Inpatient Rehab Unit (Rehab services for patients recovering from orthopaedic surgery, stroke, heart attack, or other debilitating injuries), Senior Health Center, and Occupational Health Clinic.

The community and hospital are growing. The hospital service area is 45,000 and 30,000 new residents are expected within the next six years, as it is the fastest growing community in the state. Over the next two years, the hospital is undergoing a 43 million dollar expansion, including a new Surgery Center with six operating rooms and 16 outpatient surgery bays; a new 6-bed ICU; and a new all-private med/surg unit. This community is located in the beautiful flint hills of Northeast Kansas, within driving distance of Topeka and Kansas City. There is a lake just five miles away with an extensive shoreline. Favorite past-times are raising and riding horses, hunting, fishing, attending nearby college athletics and theater, and shopping. Children's sports are very popular and plentiful as well. There is a large free Independence Day celebration held here as well. It lasts four days and includes a water show, large parade, music and food in the park, kids activities, and more. There is one high school, two middle schools, and 13 elementary schools in the public school system. In addition, there are two private schools (K-12).
