A multi-campus health care provider serving about 250,000 people in south central Michigan is looking for Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeons. There are 2 opportunities available: Three Board Certified partners need to recruit two colleagues to replace a recently-retired partner and one who has relocated to be near family in California. The practice is largely general Orthopedics. A fellowship in sports, hand, joints or foot and ankle will be a 'plus' and sub-specialty surgeries (currently 30%-40%) can be built to 50%-75% of his/her practice through aggressive marketing to doctors and hospitals in surrounding communities. Call 1:5. The 2nd opportunity is with three Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeons who need to replace a colleague who relocated. The practice has offices in two locations and performs surgeries at the hospitals in these cities and at outpatient surgery centers in the area. The practice is largely general Orthopedics; a fellowship in spine is desirable to capture available market potential. A fellowship in foot and ankle, and possibly hand would be a plus. Fellowship-trained surgeons can expect about 50% of their volume in their sub-specialty. Call will be 1:4. This facility is a JCAHO-accredited, award-winning, secondary hospital with 204 private rooms and is ranked in the top 5% nationally for patient safety. The starting base salary or net income guarantee will be competitive. However, adjustments may be made to reflect market factors and individual candidate qualifications. Physicians joining established practices can expect bonuses based on productivity and partnership in one-two years.
