PGS is currently recruiting a qualified OPHTHALMOLOGIST for potential opportunities at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Ft Campbell, Kentucky.

HOURS: Generally scheduled clinic hours shall be 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday - Friday excluding federal holidays with a one-hour unpaid meal period. On call services are required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to obtain clinical privileges to practice as an OPHTHALMOLOGIST at BACH through review and recommendation of the hospital Credentials Committee and approved by the MTF Commander. - MD or DO trained in the practice of comprehensive ophthalmology with observable competence and expertise in performing laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) and Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) who has completed at least four years of training after graduation from medical school. Three years of training shall be in general ophthalmology. - Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmologists and be recognized as an expert in Ophthalmology - Have a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number - Shall have been continuously privileged as an Ophthalmologist or undergoing residency training in the practice of Ophthalmology for at least the two years prior to the commencement of services - Shall have and maintain a valid, unrestricted state license to practice in one of the 50 states in the United States, or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands - BLS DUTIES: The contract physician shall perform the full range of medical services within the scope of Ophthalmology to include the ability and experience to diagnose and treat urgent/acute diseases and injuries for both adult and pediatric patients. These shall be the same duties as those required of any active duty military or civil service health care provider of similar experience and in similar duty assignments
