CHD Meridian Healthcare, the nations leading provider of integrated workplace health and productivity management solutions, is seeking a full-time Physician Medical Director to join our on-site healthcare center in East Alton, IL. We seek a Family Practice Physician with Occupational Health experience to ensure the planning, development and administration of medical and health education and wellness programs for our clients employees and spouses and retirees. Our client is a large manufacturing company. This position will be primarily clinical in scope with some administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Direct an occupational health program which includes pre-placement, periodic and special health examinations
• Provide patient care and treatment of non-occupational illnesses for our clients employees and retirees and their spouses
• Organize, direct, and participate in on-going and evolving programs in health and safety education including: wellness initiatives, CPR training, stress management, supervisory training, etc.
• Consult with Safety and Loss Prevention, insurance departments, and with outside physicians
• Assure that plant health services are properly staffed and managed
• Direct and oversee our clients Employee Assistance Program and disability programs
• Conduct or provide physical examinations and physician care

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical training program
• Board Certification in Family Practice or Occupational Health
• At least 5 years management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Quality patient care and customer service focused
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment
