A hospital in a major city in North Dakota seeks Hematology Oncology coverage. Candidates can either be Board Certified or Board Eligible with an active ACLS certification and will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The locum physician will also be responsible for call on a 1-3 rotation schedule. The physician will be responsible for seeing 12-14 patients in the clinic and 4-5 patients in the hospital. Coverage is needed October 21st, 22nd and 23rd of 2008. Coverage will also be needed in November and December of 2008 and into 2009. Some procedures that are required are the following: Bone marrow aspiration, spinal tap, needle biopsy of bone marrow, chemo administration (performed by RN but ordered by the physician), treatment of anemias, treatment of lymphomas, treatment of bleeding disorders, treatment of carcinomas, CNS neoplasm, chest neoplasm, skeletal neoplasm, head/neck neoplasm, breast tumors, gynecological, treatment planning, colorectal, intrathecal chemo, intrapleural or peritoneal chemo and management of central venous catheters.For more details, reference Job #118793 when contacting Kate Hall at (888) 238-8250 or khall@Locummedical.com.Locum Medical: Discover How Work Should Work
