Position
Seeking two fellowship trained geriatricians to join four others in a busy academic medical center practice. The county has the oldest aged population in the state, and Pennsylvania has the second oldest population in the country. Low cost housing is also attracting retirees from Philadelphia. There is significant unmet demand and new physicians will be busy immediately.
Case Types
The current geriatrics program includes primary care, inpatient assessment, geriatric psychiatry, inpatient rehab, and nursing home care. Physicians participate in training residents, and a geriatric fellowship is being developed. Plans for a Center for Aging include services such as home visits, a driving program, adult daycare, expanded nursing home, assisted living, and geriatric assessment.
Schedule/Call
Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
Call is 1:6, or at worst 1:5
