Locumstenes.com is looking for a psychiatrist to work in a VA facility in Texas. The hours would be 8-4:30 Monday through Friday. The provider will not be able to work overtime.

The doctor will be responsible for psychiatry assessments, substance abuse (25% IP, 75% OP-20% new patients, 80% follow ups), and the Consultation/Special Evaluation Program (CASE). One will be located in the Primary Care Clinic (2/3 new, 1/3 follow up) and the Telemedicine (1/3 new, 2/3 follow up).

Both facilities are outpatient consultant positions to primary care providers, so they do not carry a panel of patients. The psychiatrist will also spend time in the Trauma Recovery (90% OP, 10% follow up). The psychiatrists will see10-12 patients per day in the outpatient units and 3 in the inpatient with the average length of stay being 4 days.
