West Virginia Psychiatry Adult

A hospital in southern West Virginia is seeking a Psychiatrist for a locum tenens to permanent opportunity in its expanding Psychiatry department. This hospital is licensed for 600-beds. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for 10-15 adult/geriatric patients per day and include both outpatients and inpatients. Cases include bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, chemical dependency and other personality disorders. Electronic medical records are utilized and complete radiology and lab services are available. Hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. with rotational weeknight and weekend call. Ideal candidates for this opportunity will be Board Certified or Board Eligible and must have a current West Virginia medical license, although licensing an exceptional candidate will be considered. You have the option to work as a locum physician for a minimum of 2 weeks before agreeing to a permanent arrangement.
