PhyAmerica Government Services is seeking Pediatricians for PRN hours in the outpatient clinics of Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia, including Monday-Friday 3pm-7pm & weekends/holidays 7am-7pm. All outpatient care; no call, no admitting.

Department/Clinic Naval Medical Center Portsmouth has several outpatient clinics that provide pediatric services. The clinics see children 17 years of age and under. Children are seen for acute and wellness appointments, including referral to specialty appointments.

Requirements Board certified Pediatrics BLS/ACLS/PALS At least 1 year of full-time experience in the last 3 years Licensure in one of the fifty states DEA to prescribe controlled substances in accordance with the laws of Virginia

Location The outpatient clinics of Naval Medical Center Portsmouth are located in the Tidewater area, including Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Medical Center is located in downtown Portsmouth, VA. Portsmouth has miles of waterfront on the harbor of Hampton Roads. It is only a quick ferry ride from downtown Norfolk, a 20-minute drive from Virginia Beach, and less than an hour from Colonial Williamsburg.

Hospital Information Naval Medical Center Portsmouth occupies a 112-acre site along the Elizabeth River that serves active duty Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard, their families, retired personnel, their dependents and other beneficiaries authorized treatment in uniformed services clinics and hospitals. It is one of three major teaching hospitals in the Navy with residency programs in 13 specialty areas. In addition to the hospital, there are eight outpatient clinics located in Hampton Roads region.
