Physician Jobs

An OB/GYN physician is needed on a locum tenens basis with Indian Health Service in Chinle, Arizona. The assignment will begin on November of 2009 and will continue until September 30, 2010. Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN physicians will be considered. A valid medical license is required for the position, although it does not have to be an AZ license. As with many IHS job opportunities, a medical license from any U.S. state or territory is all that is required. Your airfare, rental car, furnished apartment and malpractice insurance will be provided for this assignment. The Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) is based in Chinle, Arizona (Northeast Arizona near Canyon De Chelly National Monument). Strong Navajo cultural traditions exist within the community, offering an opportunity to learn the Navajo language, or to learn about traditional Navajo medicine. Chinle is located on the Colorado Plateau with excellent opportunities for photography, hiking, running, road biking, cross country skiing, and mountain biking. Canyon de Chelly National Monument is within 5 miles of the hospital and is a wonderful place for exploring and sightseeing, running and mountain biking.
