WE are seeking a full-time BE/BC General Surgeon to join two other surgeons. The practice is owned and operated by the hospital, but the physician will be employed by the School of Medicine. Academic rank and salary will be dependent on training and experience. Additional training or certification in minimally invasive surgery is highly desirable.
Call is 1:4 first call (when program fully staffed). The practice is located in historic town, along the Atlantic Coast Intracoastal Waterway. This practice also provides outpatient at a nearby Hospital. Coverage is rotated among the group. Surgical services at local Hospital include intensive care, a surgical center, a new emergency department, an expanded labor and delivery suite and bone density screening.
The Hospital is a part of University Health Systems, a regional health system serving 29 counties and 1.3 million people in eastern NC. The system is anchored by County Memorial Hospital in NC. The teaching hospital provides a full range of tertiary services for the entire region and is designated as a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Hospital Owned Practice
A multi-specialty clinic in 60 minutes from Raleigh is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join its group of Family Practitioners, Pediatricians, Internist, Surgeons, Internal Medicine-Pediatric Physicians, and various Sub-Specialists. Must perform laparoscopic procedures and upper and lower endoscopies. The ability to perform bariatric procedures is a plus.
This opportunity includes full benefits, malpractice coverage including tail, and a signing bonus. In addition, the affiliated hospital has a 24/7 hospitalist program. Call 1:3 weekends.
