o GENERAL SURGERY: Currently there are 3 general surgeons on staff and the hospital is looking to grow this specialty. Only two of the physicians who are on staff take call so there is an immediate to need to relieve these current physicians.

We plan to recruit 1 to 2 general surgeons to help with the call schedule. Call will eventually be 1:4. Physician must be board certified and FL licensed. This will be an employed solo position. There is no trauma and limited ER call. The salary will be competitive with MGMA standards.

WILL START IN 2010

The facility is 72 beds and is adding on a total of 60 beds over the next several years to total 120 beds.

Service area for hospital is 250K + and rapidly growing as the I-4 interstate corridor is rapidly growing.

Located south of Lakeland by 1 town and east of Tampa, Bartow is 40 miles to Tampa.

Area is growing with affordable cost of living and a good choice of schools, public and private.

Management Experience Required - No

Minimum Education - Doctoral
