Locum Medical has a client that is seeking RADIATION ONCOLOGY coverage for their group in Texas. Coverage is needed beginning in August and is ongoing until a permanent candidate is found. The clinic you will cover is in the Sugar Land area and hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. This clinic does mainly outpatient procedures with more complex cases being referred to the main hospital. There is no weekend work and no call associated with this opportunity.
The ideal candidate must be Board Certified in Radiation Oncology. You will see mainly adults and should be comfortable treating all cancers including breast, prostate and lung. You should also be comfortable using the linear accelerator machine. This is also a teaching facility. You will not be expected to supervise any residents, but you may have a resident observe you.
This clinic treats approximately 10 patients per day with some new consults each week. You will have an excellent support staff on site which includes a physicist, an RN, 3 RTTs, and a complete office staff. There are also five other Radiation Oncologist in the group available for you to consult with if need be.
