A state-of-the art cancer center in central Kentucky seeks a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage until a permanent physician joins the facility. The selected candidate will be supported by skilled nursing and technical staff, including a Physicist and a Dosimetrist and will manage a moderate patient load of approximately 15 to 20 patients per day with reasonable hours. This rad onc locum tenens job requires a specialist to practice Wednesday through Friday with no call and no weekend work. Qualifications for ideal physician candidates include Board Certification and experience with IMRT and the ability to use IGRT and Cone-Beam for imaging. Board Eligible residents graduating in June with the desire and skill set will also be considered. The center houses surgical, medical and radiation oncology specialists all under one roof to allow for the development and coordination of treatment programs as a team. Hospital privileges can take up to 4 weeks with coverage starting as soon as completed.
